Welcome to Malaysia's first eco friendly and ethically aware designer bridal and party wear company ECOANGEL.  We are small but unique in our intent which is to design and deliver divine, eclectic and inspired gowns fit for a Cinderella but leaving the least amount of’ glass slipper’ carbon footprints as possible!

We hold fast to the Recycling mantra – REDUCE, REUSE, REPURPOSE, and RECYCLE. Weddings in particular can be the least eco friendly events on the planet costing the earth and definitely detrimental to environmental harmony.   Just because celebrities do it doesn’t mean that we have to! The 2007 wedding of Liz Hurley to Arun Nayar covered two continents, four cities and the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean. It was estimated that 207,000 tons of carbon were produced in its wake.

EcoAngel will work closely and personally with the bride or party person involved. We fashion small works of art from scrap recycled fabrics, ours or yours.  We encourage the customer to provide us with bits and pieces from family and friends which we will include in the final design.  This could be broken beads, ribbons, and lace.  We LOVE Vintage and this will inspire us to great heights on your behalf.  Our speciality is creating patchworked and embellished bodices coordinated with gorgeous balloon skirts made from Eri (Peace) or Muga hand woven Assam silk from India.  By the way most silks are made by boiling the silk worms alive – a little known fact and more of this in next month’s issue!

We adore the unusual and eclectic and are devoted to the idea of beach, eco resort and eco garden weddings.  We can of course help you to plan and design them, too!

EcoAngel also likes to customize your garments!  We can perform garment surgery for you giving old favourites a serious facelift.  Denim jeans, jackets, tops can all be given a new and fresh look with embellishment, distressing, hand painting and appliqué.
